strong heat cooks the 42 tonnes of mangroves into charcoal

Beware, It is very hot

What are U holding?

1. The mangrove trees which take 30 years to mature are cut down to turn into either charcoal or for the making of the foundation in building.

2. The conservation & preservation of mangrove trees are important to stop the Tsunami from
coming towards the land and also for continuity of the species to prevent depletion of the
mangroves

3. 42 tonnes of mangrove trees are put into the 'igloo' to cook into 10 tonnes of charcoal. The
decreasing in mass is due to the loss of water content in the plants. So 32 tonnes is the amount of water content lost during the process of cooking in the 'igloo'. The water vapour will be lost

thro' the many windows found surrounding the 'igloo'.

4. The process of cooking the mangrove takes 1 month.

Acquire knowledge

Be hold to learn new things to achieve greater success, Tay urged.

Be bold and brave and learn new things. Don't say ' TAK BOLEH' . Say ' SAYA BOLEH' 'MALAYSIA BOLEH'.

In today's challenging world, we have no choice but to be competitive. We have no choice but

to acquire new knowledge if we want to be and stay ahead.

We also equip ourselves with knowledge, skills and capabilities to bring about greater self

development. Knowledge can be acquired thro' formal education or informal education like

dancing. However, to dance well takes time and the process is slow. But what is important is

have the inner drive to learn new things. However difficult a task is becomes as easy as ABC if

one has the will power to strive on. Better late than never to pick up skills along the way.

Happy Garden Line Dancing Club Alor Star

1.The Happy Garden Line Dancing Club was formed in 31st of August
2006.

2. Initially the club consists of 15 members but eventually it has increased
in size to more than double i.e 40 members.

3. On 1-1-2007, approximately 10 of the members went to join Yeoh's
dancing class. This is dued to the few rounds of Demontrated
Performance shown by Yeoh 'N' his students in Alor Star. Many were
impressed by his styling 'N' altitude.
4. It has been a year since we we with him. The up 'N' down during his
lesson lingers as fond memories. As U know, being a sir he is strict,
wanting us to improve with each lesson. We are scared to death, cold
hands 'N' feet whenever his class is near. But yet we never stopped
going to his class for we know that there is something that we r looking
for in his class...... excitement to learn new dance. This is what we
called life long learning or in Malay is called 'Pembelajaran Sepanjang
Hayat'. In fact, we find that his teaching is precise 'N' clear. He knows
that students have to be left alone to for 5 minutes to polish the steps.
This means we have to drive on our own to figure out the patterns 'N'
sequences in the dance. If it is a simple 32 steps dance, than it is
easier. But coming to 64 steps dance with few tags 'N' restart, it really
test our 'CPU'. How well our "CPU' stored the data 'N' how well the
data r retrieved is all a test of our Learning Skills. Some students dont
practise much after the lessons. This made him angry for Ah Sir wants
zero defects in dancing. But I told him to close his eye or both eyes if
possible cos some of them aren't serious. They just come to sweat it
out. But for those who put in more effort like watching the dance thro'
youtube 'N' practise more frequently, this will make a difference. Ah
Sir praised those who r good too to give them positive reinforcement.
But doesnt hide his feeling whenever he isn't satisfy with the class
performance. He is sharp 'n' many of us 'kena' from him too. But he is
very dedicated in his work. That makes us dont harbour any ill feeling
despite of his commend. We know that what he does is for our own good.
Congratulation Sir. U have done your part well.

5. we have attended the Penang International Sport Arena Dancing
Carnival twice so far. A special feeling existed just like students going
for exam. During the carnival, we have people from as far Canada,
Australia joining us. In the year 2006, the cheorographer named
Michelle Peron came with her husband. She performed a few dances
"n" taught us Pure Movies.
